Miguel Harte (Buenos Aires, 1961) is considered one of the most significant Argentine sculptors of his generation. He emerged in the late 1980s within the art scene that developed around the Centro Cultural Rojas in Buenos Aires, which proved to be decisively influential in subsequent years. His work has forged a distinctive language marked by visceral intensity, biomorphism, and fantasy, with allusions to a dislocated nature. He is also noted for his experimental and precise use of materials and sculptural techniques, ranging from automotive paint supplies to insect preservation methodologies drawn from entomology. In the works presented at the booth, abstractions and minimalisms reveal a corporeal and visceral dimension.
Harte has received sixteen awards and has held solo exhibitions at some of Argentina’s most important institutions, including the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and the Fortabat Museum, as well as the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá.
