ADRIANA BUSTOS in RETHINKING NATURE
MADRE, Naples, Italy
Curated by Kathryn Weir with Ilaria Conti
12.17.21 – 05.02.22
Bustos participates in this exhibition at the MADRE Museum in Naples which, through the gaze of contemporary art, investigates issues related to political ecology and the ethical need to build a new relationship between human beings and the ecosystems of which they are part.
The exhibition includes a group of international artists who reflect on the historical roots of a colonialist vision of nature as a permanent reservoir to be appropriated.
Curator Kathryn Weir, now Director of this institution, has worked with Adriana Bustos in the past during her previous tenure at the Center Pompidou in Paris.
Works by Adriana Bustos are currently on view as well at the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires in the context of the exhibition Paisaje Peregrino.
