In the context of ARCO E-Exhibitions, Nora Fisch Gallery is pleased to present this online show that sets up an intergenerational dialogue between the works of two artists from the region of Río de la Plata. Fernanda Laguna (Hurlingham, Argentina, 1972) is considered one of the most influential artists within the energetic art scene of Buenos Aires, having participated in over one hundred exhibitions since 1994. Guzmán Paz (Montevideo, Uruguay, 1988) is an emerging artist who has been attracting increasing attention since beginning to exhibit his individual works in recent years, aside from being a member of Basica TV, a collective of three artists working in performance and video since 2016.
There is common ground between both artists: the scale of their works, either small or medium size at the most, consistent with their interest in underscoring intimacy and their inner worlds; the addition of elements from the day-to-day and domestic environment; the mingling of painting and collage; gender expression and manifestation of non-binary subjectivities.
On this occasion Nora Fisch Gallery is delighted to announce the exclusive representation of Guzman Paz’s work.
