INFO
From a small cardboard bed for a dead bug to a gold-framed painting; household items made from recycled plastics; crafts exhibited on elaborate supports, where the work is this support and not what it displays; collages on poster paper where what matters is the noise of the paper being handled; graphics that explain the percentage of art, crafts, fantasy or reality that each work contains (and that always adds up to much more than 100); photos of popular idols and people she likes; paintings from previous decades and recently finished. Fernanda Laguna presents her first solo exhibition in Argentina since 2017, Arte_lin Do Re Mi Fa # Sol La Siiiii!, which crystallizes a new stage in her ideas about art and in the development of her work, embodied in the concept “_lin” .
Since 1994 Fernanda Laguna’s works have been shown in close to one hundred solo and group exhibitions, including A Universal History of Infamy at Los Angeles County Museum of Art (2017), Take Me, I’m Yours at Villa Medici, Rome; Site Santa Fe, NM. In 2020 the Institute for Contemporary Art VCU, Virginia presented As Everybody, an anthological exhibition.
