Adriana Bustos opens a solo exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Art of the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTREF) with new works, specifically developed for the impressive space of the former Hotel de Inmigrantes. Cruce en el Río includes video works, sculptures and large format drawings on canvas. The subject of rivers has been present in her previous works, as allusions to historical processes, but in this show her attention is focused on the Buenos Aires’ shore of the Río de la Plata, a real and symbolic location, where a web of economic, social and ecological events is at play.
Adriana Bustos is one of the artists based in Argentina who is most exhibited internationally, having participated in the Sharjah Biennial, Istanbul Biennial, Site Santa Fe, New Mexico and Bienal Sur, among others.
